In a survey by Panda Security, 52% of parents admitted that they were surprised by the decrease in bank balance, which they later found out that their children had borne these expenses. 21% approached banks about suspicious transactions and were told that their children had used the money.
Looking at the data, they found that on average, a child spends an average of 31 thousand rupees in a year on his games, apps, and movies. Every month Parents suffer a loss of about two and a half thousand rupees. It has been found in the survey that children get addicted to gaming add-ons. These are known as loot boxes. Initially, children are attracted by giving small gifts, gradually children get used to it, and after that, they start paying from their parents’ accounts.
16% of parents said their laptops and computers were found to have viruses because children had unknowingly downloaded multiple apps.
